Nima Tennis is led by former world top 200 Nima Roshan. Nima and his team deliver world class tennis programs and services for players of any age and level. Tennis is the sport that keeps millions worldwide fit and healthy, both mentally and physically throughout life. Nima Tennis players are aged from 3 to 70+ and all enjoy the many benefits of playing tennis in a productive, fun and social environment.

Meet our friendly team
Nima Roshan
Director of Tennis Nima Roshan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his extensive tennis career. Having played club competition, tournaments, high school tennis, American NCAA tennis, and on the ITF/ATP Pro Tour, his tennis experience ranges from a rich and diverse background. As a coach, he has developed a high level of expertise from years of international experience studying the game and having leading roles at tennis clubs where he has worked with players of all ages and abilities. Before starting Nima Tennis at Canterbury TC, Nima was the Head Coach of Kelly Tennis, a successful tennis business at CTC for over 20 years. Prior to this, he was the Director of Racquets at Concord Country Club in West Chester, PA, USA. Nima is dedicated to helping every player improve and enjoy tennis as a lifelong sport.

Nora Roshan
Operations Manager Nora Roshan is an experienced and qualified operations manager, with a bachelors in Business Management. In her professional career, she has held management positions at the Australian Taxation Office and IT companies in the US. Nora's tennis journey started in her late 20's when she met her now husband Nima. She learned all about tennis while traveling with him on the pro tour through the US, Asia, and Europe. Nora was inspired to start lessons, classes, and competitive play in the US, which she continued until she was 8 months pregnant. Nora is now settled back in Melbourne as a mum and tennis enthusiast. She always enjoys playing and making new friends through tennis.

Henry Fried
Head Tennis Coach
Henry has had a lifelong involvement in tennis. He started playing at the age of 6 recreationally and competed in junior tournaments across Victoria. As an adult, Henry has competed in grade 1 pennant for various clubs including Ferntree Gully and Kooyong TC.
Henry travelled nationally, competing in tournaments while gaining valuable experience in the mental and physical demands of the sport. As a coach, he has been able to pass on his experience and help local players develop their tennis to the highest level.
Henry enjoys coaching all levels and ages of players to reach their tennis and fitness goals. He has worked at Tennis Australia with both the 12 and 14 & under state programs. He has also traveled around Australia, coaching juniors competing in national tournaments. Some of these players have achieved junior ITF and adult ATP/WTA world rankings.
Henry adds a background in fitness training to his expertise. He has worked with elite tennis players off-court, improving their strength and conditioning along with a focus on injury prevention.

Alex Henao
Professional Tennis Coach
Alex is an experienced tennis player, with a love for all things tennis. He started playing in Colombia as a junior and went on to represent his hometown of Bogotá in the national games. Alex also competed for his tennis club in interclub competition and for his university.
Alex brings years of tennis experience as a player and coach. He enjoys coaching players of all abilities and helping them reach their tennis and fitness goals. In a former coaching role, Alex was apart of Bogotá’s tennis league, where he worked with kids to develop their skills in order to compete in interclub and tournament competition.
Alex is a great addition to the Nima Tennis coaching team and Canterbury Tennis Club. You can find him on court with our Hot Shots kids and private students of all ages.
